What is a PCS / Inverter System?

A Power Conversion System (PCS) manages the bidirectional flow of energy between a battery energy storage system and the electrical grid. It converts DC power from batteries to AC power for grid injection and vice versa for charging, while providing protection, control, and monitoring functions.

Each PCS unit includes an integrated step-up transformer for direct medium-voltage grid connection, eliminating the need for external transformer infrastructure. Available configurations include on-grid (peak shaving), on-off grid (peak shaving + backup), and hybrid modes.

With rated power from 500 kW to 2.5 MW, these systems are designed for commercial and industrial battery energy storage installations, utility-scale projects, and microgrid applications.
