Smart Load Management: Optimise the load

The problem: Limited grid capacity

Most commercial buildings have a limited grid connection. Without load management, 10 charging points at 22 kW each would require 220 kW of extra capacity — often leading to costly grid upgrades.

The solution for you: Smart load management

Smart load management dynamically distributes the available power between charging points based on priority, time, and actual demand. The system takes into account the building's other energy consumption and ensures that the total load never exceeds the available capacity.

With load management, you can typically install 2–3 times more charging points than the raw power capacity suggests, since not all charge at full power simultaneously.

Integration with BESS

The most advanced solution combines smart load management with a BESS. The battery acts as a buffer that can deliver extra power when needed, allowing all vehicles to charge optimally without grid limitations.
